Hey hey. I'm Sasha.
Digital storyteller,
Photographic narrator,
Hogwarts alum.
In real life, I write things. I speak fluent sarcasm. I'm unintentionally funny. My favorite thing is food. Guac is life. I'm a fountain of the most random information. I'm pretty, only because it's weird to call oneself beautiful. I'm weird in all the good ways. I live in the greatest city on Earth. I was Sasha before Beyonce was schizophrenic.
My life is stranger than fiction. But please, don't take my word for it.
My pen is mightier than my sword.

musings
Truth is, I'm not innocent. I'm just an abstinent fireplace that doesn't wanna feel the fire kindled between her legs anymore so don't mind the ashes. They're just evidence of how brightly I can glow and I wanna glow hard like one dim star on an otherwise starless night that shines just to prove its fidelity.

sabbath is, hands down, the best thing that God could have ever invented. i could just kiss him for thinking of that one. those of you who don't observe the sabbath are probably wondering why i'm so excited about it. but if you've never observed it, you will never know what it feels like. and those of you who have observed it know exactly what i'm talking about. a friend of mine once said "sabbath was made for me, and not me for the sabbath. if you knew what that meant, you'd be just as excited as i am". i don't think truer words have ever been spoken. God is always with us and watching over us wherever we go but the fact that He set aside time for us to rest in Him and just spend that time with Him means so much, you can't even imagine. and maybe the idea of it doesn't sound as good to you as i make it seem but it is. it's truly amazing. i look forward to the sabbath every week and i literally feel disappointed when it's over. it's like you're a little kid and Christmas comes every week instead of every year, that's how awesome it is. i'll try to explain myself.
during the week, maybe you're at school, working your ass off to get good grades or maybe you're at work, working your ass off to pay your bills and provide for yourself and your family. school and work can be stressful at times and sometimes it just gets to be too much to deal with and we just need a break. and then the sabbath comes and it's like a lifevest in a vast sea of nothingness and you can grab onto it and save yourself. you can rest and it's like all your troubles seem to fall away and when you go to church and you spend time with God in His house and you listen to His word and you get your blessing, you can face the week ahead with a lighter heart than you ended the last week with. it feels like lifting an insane weight off of your shoulders. i don't know how else to describe it and i'm trying but all my metaphors don't even do it justice. it's an indescribable feeling and it's a feeling everyone should have the privilage of feeling in their lifetime because the sabbath was made for everyone. point blank. period. you haven't lived until you've experienced what a difference God and the sabbath can make in your life. i'll shut up and stop preaching now =P
