Hey hey. I'm Sasha.
Digital storyteller,
Photographic narrator,
Hogwarts alum.
In real life, I write things. I speak fluent sarcasm. I'm unintentionally funny. My favorite thing is food. Guac is life. I'm a fountain of the most random information. I'm pretty, only because it's weird to call oneself beautiful. I'm weird in all the good ways. I live in the greatest city on Earth. I was Sasha before Beyonce was schizophrenic.
My life is stranger than fiction. But please, don't take my word for it.
My pen is mightier than my sword.

musings
Truth is, I'm not innocent. I'm just an abstinent fireplace that doesn't wanna feel the fire kindled between her legs anymore so don't mind the ashes. They're just evidence of how brightly I can glow and I wanna glow hard like one dim star on an otherwise starless night that shines just to prove its fidelity.

  field day
Monday, August 31, 2009 || 5:56 PM
My good friend Denise and I often go on what we like to call "field days". In other words, days when she gets paid to do nothing so we get into some form of debauchery. Usually, we'll see a movie, hit up a good restaurant, go shopping or take a walk on the promenade. Seeing as how Denise and I are closer than sisters, more often than not, she'll pick up the tab. So the extravagance of the field day all depends on how poor we are at the time but no matter what we do, we always manage to have fun together.
For the past two Sundays, we've gone on field days. They never happen so close together but since summer is almost over, we decided to hang out. Last Sunday, we went to the movies and saw a chick flick as is our custom. After the movie, we went to one of my favorite Mexican spots, Chipotle and then, we went for a walk on the promenade. Downtown Brooklyn is so beautiful, especially when the sun is setting on all those quaint little shops. It's like an urban suburb over there which is why we pick Brooklyn Heights for most of our field days. The atmosphere is really nice and calm for a place in Brooklyn and it's nice to just chill over there. So we sat on the promenade and watched the sun set (beautiful, by the way).
After I finished my burrito (which was delicious, if I may say so), we walked back to the train station (stopping to look into the closed shops on the way) and made our way home. This Sunday, we were poorer than last so we kept our field day within our neighborhood. We went to one of our favorite places, the Arch Diner. It's the only place that's still here that was here when we moved to this neighborhood (eighteen years ago!). we ate, laughed and joked and generally had a lot of fun, as we always do.
We ate so much that we decided to take a walk around the paerdegats just to walk our meal off.
We ended up at Dunkin' Donuts where we had an iced latte, (mine with whipped cream, hers with skim milk =P) and then we walked home. It just goes to show, no matter where we go or what we do, we always manage to have fun as long as we're together. Then again, she is the life of every party. =)
