Life is such a blessing when you have supportive family and friends that will be there for you when you need them, celebrate your victories with you and lift you up when you're down. This past year has been full of ups and downs, not just for me but for a lot of the people that are close to me as well. I'm blessed, not only with talent, but with talented friends, and it seems that we're all striving to make a name for ourselves all at the same time. Even those who aren't trying to make a name for themselves are a part of the process, because they provide the moral support we need. I can't count how many times my neighbor/mentor/older brother Rony has lectured me, telling me that I'm lucky because I know what I want to do and letting me know the different ways I could go about doing it. Every time I make a move involving my education or career, his lectures are in the back of my mind. I can't count how many times my neighbor/sister/best friend Denise has helped me through endless amounts of schoolwork. My prose is what it is through her guidance and support. I can't count how many times my sister/best friend/I don't even know what else Casandra has been there for me emotionally. She's always been there to lend an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. And now, as we venture into bigger and better things, I just need to let them know how very grateful I am to be a part of their lives and for them to be a part of mine. So now, to business. Like I said, we're a talented bunch of friends. God has blessed us in so many ways and we won't sit back and do nothing with our talent. Denise is the head chef and owner of Cater Coalesce, a catering company she started out of her own kitchen. Now, an entire year later, with countless social events under our belt and our first corporate event successfully executed, we're moving on to bigger and better things. I'm proud to say I'm the creative director of Cater Coalesce and as such, will be playing a big part in all of the arrangements, photography and the release of our newsletter. There are big things to come for Cater Coalesce and I'm honored to be a part of it. To find out more about that, you can click that pretty link on the right side of the screen that says "Denise" or visit www.catercoalesce.com (trust me, you won't be disappointed). In other new, Casandra, Nicole, Kendra and I are starting "something" together. I won't spill the beans here (I'd much rather leave you dying in suspense), but just look out for The Girlfriend Chronicles. Trust me when I say it'll be well worth the wait. =) Labels: friends and fam, real life amazing |
