This post was supposed to be "this week" but I got lazy and kinda dropped the ball. So that's mybad. But a rose called by any other name still smells as sweet, right? Anywhoozers, we pick up where we left off in my random shenanigans. Still writing this story for my journalism class but it feels like I'm doing more eating than writing. Still, no complaints. This time, we went to this Japanese noodle bar called Naruto Ramen. For you fans of Naruto, yes, it's exactly what you're thinking. Wear your headbands lol.
So we (Andy, Creepy Thin Man and I) get inside and the whole place is Naruto themed. But not in a cheesy way so that was refreshing.
So the food was great (obviously)...
...and of course they had to get a pic of me stuffing my face.
Later in the week, we went to this bar called 200 5th, which is the name of the place and also the address, as Andy's friend so eloquently pointed out. This wasn't a foodie trip, it was a "I had a bad day" trip, at least for me.
I don't know...
...still don't know *shrug*
So lets just say it wasn't such a bad day by the time we left.
Had a relatively cool weekend too. It was Easter weekend (and also visitor's day at our church) so it was packed but we had such a good day. My brother and his fam came to church with us so that was nice.
My Easter look.
The fam...
Words can't begin to explain the hilarity behind this one
My niece and nephew wore me out but it was a good Sabbath. On Sunday, I had a meeting in DUMBO. Not much to tell but here's me and Matt, as per the photographic genius of Adiah.
*sigh* good times. Also on Sunday, Andy and I went to DuMont Burger, this awesome bar in Williamsburg that is slowly but surely becoming our very own MacLarens (I hope someone sees what I did there). The drinks are good, the burgers are ah-mah-zing and we saw a guy that looked and talked like Captain Jack Sparrow, right before he left to sail the seven seas or, in his words, "smoke my own hand-rolled version of perfection" but I digress.
So there it is, my week (sorta), in a nutshell. I don't think I missed anything and if I did, you wouldn't know anyway. So there.
