Hey hey. I'm Sasha.
Digital storyteller,
Photographic narrator,
Hogwarts alum.
In real life, I write things. I speak fluent sarcasm. I'm unintentionally funny. My favorite thing is food. Guac is life. I'm a fountain of the most random information. I'm pretty, only because it's weird to call oneself beautiful. I'm weird in all the good ways. I live in the greatest city on Earth. I was Sasha before Beyonce was schizophrenic.
My life is stranger than fiction. But please, don't take my word for it.
My pen is mightier than my sword.

musings
Truth is, I'm not innocent. I'm just an abstinent fireplace that doesn't wanna feel the fire kindled between her legs anymore so don't mind the ashes. They're just evidence of how brightly I can glow and I wanna glow hard like one dim star on an otherwise starless night that shines just to prove its fidelity.

  birthday blues
Tuesday, May 22, 2012 || 11:18 PM
So I have to admit, I've been a little mopey lately. Until I realized that the reason I was being mopey was absolutely ridiculous at which point, I stopped being mopey. My birthday was great. It wasn't as awesome as last year but I knew it would be difficult to top partying in Miami with my best friend and the most awesome Haitians I know because one, it's Miami, HELLO? And two, those particular Haitians definitely know how to have a good time. But I digress.
So this is why I've had the birthday blues when admittedly, my birthday was great and the festivities aren't even over yet. But I'm getting ahead of myself. So the morning of my birthday, I got up at the asscrack of dawn and Andy took me to breakfast.

The first pic of 24. Don't I look all sunshiney?

We went to this little place in Williamsburg called Whirlybird.

Andy claims I'm the only one who would find a place that serves breakfast tacos but they were absolutely DE-LISH!

After breakfast, I met JP in the city for some retail therapy. No pics but you get the idea. Quality mom and daughter time (ack) while spending money on things we don't need. But what better excuse than a birthday to do some mindless shopping? Anywhoo, after having a HUGE burrito (below) for dinner, I headed to my homie Naomi's house for girls night with her and Cass.

The aforementioned HUGE burrito.

So girls night was pretty eventful. We hung out and had girl talk, all that good stuff. Admittedly, I got slightly inebriated at which point we (being the geniuses that we are) decided to go to the park and swing. Here's where things get a little fuzzy (and also hilarious) so I'll give you the short version. We swung, we laughed, at some point the cops showed up...

...so the only logical thing to do was to take pictures with them and offer them waffles (which they politely declined). Not too long afterward, we headed home, having had enough adventures for one night.

Over the weekend, Cass and I along with one of my favorite cousins (yes, I have favorites. Fight me.) went to this awesome hookah lounge on the Lower East Side called the Cozy Cafe. The hookah there was amazing, as was the sangria and yours truly got to dance with a belly dancer.

So no pics of me with the belly dancer but Cass got a video. I'll post it later if I don't look like a crazy person. We had so much fun though, it was one of those effortlessly awesome nights. After the hookah lounge, we went over to DuMont Burger (also in Williamsburg) for some grub and then called it a night as we were all full and pooped. But I must say, good times were had by all so I'm happy about that. If and when the saga continues, I will definitely keep you all posted. Until then, I'll try to lay off the birthday blues.
