Hey hey. I'm Sasha.
Digital storyteller,
Photographic narrator,
Hogwarts alum.
In real life, I write things. I speak fluent sarcasm. I'm unintentionally funny. My favorite thing is food. Guac is life. I'm a fountain of the most random information. I'm pretty, only because it's weird to call oneself beautiful. I'm weird in all the good ways. I live in the greatest city on Earth. I was Sasha before Beyonce was schizophrenic.
My life is stranger than fiction. But please, don't take my word for it.
My pen is mightier than my sword.

musings
Truth is, I'm not innocent. I'm just an abstinent fireplace that doesn't wanna feel the fire kindled between her legs anymore so don't mind the ashes. They're just evidence of how brightly I can glow and I wanna glow hard like one dim star on an otherwise starless night that shines just to prove its fidelity.

  the fourth
Friday, July 6, 2012 || 1:32 PM
This week, we celebrated the freedom of our great nation. America is awesome. I love that we celebrate the soldiers that gave their lives to defend our country (Memorial Day), the independence of our country (Independence Day) and the economic contributions of our workers (Labor Day) by gathering to eat ridiculous amounts of food, get inebriated and shake our asses. Because nothing says patriotism like drunken bbq hopping. But I digress.
This year, instead of hanging around the city I decided to pull a disappearing act (much to the dismay of a few people) and head south to hang out with some of my family (as you saw from the very eventful first leg of my journey). So for me, the fourth was more chill this year than others. No bbq hopping, no nutcrackers, no other activities that I'll refrain from mentioning here...but it was still cool just hanging out with my little cousins, especially because it's been a while since I've seen them all. So we started our day off with the most awesome breakfast of my vacation thus far.

My sister can throw down. I always tell her that there are only three reasons I visit her: breakfast, lunch and dinner. And they are all worth the hellish bus rides I endure to get here. So after everyone stuffed their faces and came out of their mini food comas, a few of us decided to beat the heat by hanging out at the pool.

So there's me...there were others, I promise. Because I'm on vacation and not in the comfort of my own home, I can only use instagram pics. For those of you who follow me on ig, bear with me, I'll have more pics to share when I get home. But don't I look awesome?? I felt all relaxed and junk. And I'm almost dark skinned now! Dyamond would be so proud. Anywhoozers, after the pool, I watched my cousins play Just Dance on the Wii (soooo funny)...

Yeahh...she was getting it. So after all that fun, we barbequed our lives away. Hot dogs and cheeseburgers and ribs and potato salad and roast corn and chips and dip. In short, fat girl heaven. There are no pictures of this lovely smorgasbord because I was too busy being in fat girl heaven. Sorry.... Anyways, after dinner, I had to walk off the small cow I had eaten so I took a walk to the park and watched the sun setting behind the trees.

And that was pretty much my day. When I got back to the house, I collapsed into bed, where I stayed for the remainder of the night. So like I said, pretty uneventful as far as these things go but I still enjoyed myself. Still, homesickness is starting to set in. I'm definitely looking forward to sleeping in my own bed next week.
