Hey hey. I'm Sasha.
Digital storyteller,
Photographic narrator,
Hogwarts alum.
In real life, I write things. I speak fluent sarcasm. I'm unintentionally funny. My favorite thing is food. Guac is life. I'm a fountain of the most random information. I'm pretty, only because it's weird to call oneself beautiful. I'm weird in all the good ways. I live in the greatest city on Earth. I was Sasha before Beyonce was schizophrenic.
My life is stranger than fiction. But please, don't take my word for it.
My pen is mightier than my sword.

Truth is, I'm not innocent. I'm just an abstinent fireplace that doesn't wanna feel the fire kindled between her legs anymore so don't mind the ashes. They're just evidence of how brightly I can glow and I wanna glow hard like one dim star on an otherwise starless night that shines just to prove its fidelity.

  labor day shenanigans
Thursday, September 13, 2012 || 1:35 PM
I know this is super late but as you probably noticed from my last post, life has been pretty crapola since Labor Day weekend and the whole unofficial end of summer. I doubt that it's a coincidence but whatevs. Dealing with all the crapola as well as getting back to school and pushing through a major I've grown to hate while resisting the urge to put a bullet in my...foot, I totally forgot to blog my Labor Day weekend shenanigans.
Now seeing as I live in the most awesome borough in the most awesome city in the world, Labor Day usually means BBQ hopping and enjoying a few nutcrackers with my homegirls, playing a wicked jab at J'ouvert and bussin' a whine with the float of my choice while repping my country's colors on the parkway. Usually, I'm the pinprick of red, yellow and green in the sea of red, white and blue because while Grenada's carnival is amazing in Grenada, their float on the parkway is kinda blahh and who are we kidding? Haiti shuts down the parkway every year. If you were under the impression that it was Jamaica, you were sadly mistaken and/or lied to. But I digress.
As of last year, Brooklyn has been way crazier than usual during Labor Day weekend so once again, I decided to accompany Laos on their annual Labor Day trip. Which was awesome. I can't even get into specifics of how awesome it was. Just know that it was awesome and take pleasure in viewing these photos because that's all you people are getting out of me.

So that was a bit of our vacation weekend away from Brooklyn. Like I said, we had an amazing time, great experiences and one in particular. To read more about it, visit Laos' blog because I honestly don't feel like writing about it again. If you don't like it, suck it. But you know...whatevs. I hope you all had a happy and fun but safe Labor Day weekend. And while you're sitting in your class/office/holding cell, at least you have the sweet memories of long summer days to hold you over until Christmas spirit hits town. Happy Hoodie Weather!
