I realized that in the past few weeks, I've gone milk carton on you guys, kinda like Lebron in the 4th quarter. I sincerely apologize. It's not that I gave you guys back, it's just that things have been pretty crazy this month. Crazy good though. So I'll do a very short recap of what's been going on with me for those of you who care. For those who don't, click here for unicorns and rainbows.
So my Fourth of July was pretty awesome. Nothing hugely special, just went to a pretty mellow bbq with friends and fam but I enjoyed myself.
So like I said, good times for all. Since then, I've just been getting ready for my trip. My family is going to Grenada for a few weeks, the main reason things have been so crazy around here. I've been shopping like crazy and we've been sending things down ahead of us to make sure the house is ready when we get there. My house has felt like a post office these last few weeks. Also, I've been working on a few DIY projects. I fully intend on blogging those as soon as I'm done. And I promised my nephew we'd hang out before I leave so I took him to the American Museum of Natural History because he wanted to see dinosaurs. Needless to say, he was impressed.
"Look! It's Nemo!" Love this kid
So that was that adventure. Now with only a week left before we leave, all that's left to do is pack. I'm so looking forward to the change of scenery. Don't get me wrong, I'll be a city girl forever but sometimes, you need a break. Also, city "beaches" got nothing on the beaches in the Caribbean. I can't wait to feel the sand between my toes. If the technology gods smile down on me and I get wifi down there, you guys will be hearing from me soon. If not, deux dwet and see y'all in a month!
