Hey hey. I'm Sasha.
Digital storyteller,
Photographic narrator,
Hogwarts alum.
In real life, I write things. I speak fluent sarcasm. I'm unintentionally funny. My favorite thing is food. Guac is life. I'm a fountain of the most random information. I'm pretty, only because it's weird to call oneself beautiful. I'm weird in all the good ways. I live in the greatest city on Earth. I was Sasha before Beyonce was schizophrenic.
My life is stranger than fiction. But please, don't take my word for it.
My pen is mightier than my sword.

Truth is, I'm not innocent. I'm just an abstinent fireplace that doesn't wanna feel the fire kindled between her legs anymore so don't mind the ashes. They're just evidence of how brightly I can glow and I wanna glow hard like one dim star on an otherwise starless night that shines just to prove its fidelity.

  adventures in Greenz

Ok guys, my monthlong hiatus has come to an end and I'm BACK! Surprisingly enough, being disconnected from the rest of the world for all this time has been really amazing. The last three weeks have been, in every sense of the word, a true vacation. It was nice to enjoy myself without thinking things like "I should take a pic to show Instagram that I'm enjoying myself." I never have been good at that though. That's why most of my Instagram pics are of food and faces I make when I'm bored. But I digress.
Grenada was beautiful. Like, really beautiful. Like 5-star resort commercial beautiful. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed spending time there and seeing all my family. So, in trying to make this not very long and drawn out, I'll just share a few key points.

Things I learned in Grenada:

  1. Assume that everyone knows your business because chances are, they do. Grenadians are nosey. This, I already knew. How nosey, I could never have guessed. My friend (a bus driver whom everyone assumed I was with when they saw us hanging out) told me that some random person on the bus asked him if we're together and told him that I was dating another Grenadian (another friend of mine that I'm not dating) all the way in America. Yeah.
  2. The young, ambitious generation in Grenada is so different to that of America or at the very least, New York. Young people here are graduating college, looking for jobs and apartments. Young people there have jobs and money put away to start building their houses. The most they're looking for is a spouse to share it with.
  3. The stories my parents told me about back in the day are all true. I've seen all the subjects of these stories (cousins, aunts, grandparents). They've all confirmed it.
  4. In one of these stories, JP told me that her dad would send her to the store and say he'd spit on the ground and she should be back by the time it dried or else. I didn't think that was so unreasonable until I saw the long ass road she had to walk down as a child (with short legs) to get to the store. Add that to the fact that spit was sure to dry fast on a dirt road in the hot sun and I can only assume one of two things. Either my mom was an olympic runner or a regular receiver of ass whoopings as a child.
  5. My grandfather's island is AMAZING.
Things I did in Grenada
  1. Tour the island with my family
  2. Go to the beach. A lot.
  3. Visit the chocolate factory.
  4. Ride a small boat to Grandpa's island.
  5. Witness the bacchanal, better known as Carnival.
  6. Etc.

So there you have it, my adventures in Grenada. Look out for a crap ton more pictures on Facebook and videos on YouTube and all that good stuff. I hope everyone enjoyed their summer as much as I did. If not, don't feel bad because I partied enough for the both of us. You're welcome.
