****SPOILER ALERT****
If you haven't seen THOR: The Dark World, Iron Man 3 or season 2 of The Legend of Korra and are remotely interested in watching them your yourself, please DON'T READ ANY FURTHER!!
Instead, click here for unicorns and rainbows.
So...remember when this happened...?
Yeahh it's happened again. Ever since the Avengers, I've waited to see how each Avenger's separate story would evolve. I still don't know how to feel about Iron Man's story. They completely humanized him. I did appreciate his PTSD after New York as well as the storyline with the little kid. Also I think it's cool that he totally validated himself as a superhero when his suit died and he walked up into the enemy's house like a boss...
BUT he destroyed his suits and got rid of the chest piece so now I'm dying to know how that'll work in the second Avengers. I guess we'll see.
Thor on the other hand, left us nicely set up for the next movie. What with Loki on the throne and Odin MIA. And that guy who I feel like I should know who he is but I don't, stealing the whatchamacallit that looks like the tesseract. Yes, Marvel, you've done it again. However, the longer I sat in the theater, the more I felt like I've seen it all somewhere before. Not all of it exactly as it was but COME ON SON!
Convergence happens every 5,000 years. The nine realms align and all the worlds are connected.
Once Convergence happens, Malekith plans to unleash the aether into the nine realms, plunging the worlds into darkness and chaos.
...sounds familiar.
Every 10,000 years, Harmonic Convergence happens and the spirit of dark and light must do battle for the world.
When Harmonic Convergence happens, Unalaq fuses with Vatu and uses his dark spirit to plunge the world into 10,000 years of darkness and chaos.
Coincidence? Who knows. But I mean, they're even called the same thing so...*shrug*
In other news, I was very happy with the second season of the Legend of Korra. Not happy with all of it but happy nonetheless. The first half was a total waste in my opinion. The season didn't really start until the episode where we see how Juan became the first Avatar and learn all about Rava and all that good stuff. But I'm happy because Korra has finally done something worthy of the title "legend" and it was freaking amazing. I'm curious to see where the writers are going from here, especially now that she's disconnected from her past lives. We shall see.
