Everyone is different. That being said, everyone has a different purpose, in our lives as well as in their own lives. Different people come into our lives for different reasons and every friend has a separate purpose in our life. Take me, for instance. I have different friends in my life for different reasons because they all bring something different to the table. One friend is my emotional support, I can tell her just about everything. Another supports me on an intellectual level and helps me with education and career related things. Another is a mentor of sorts and just gives me advice and "the guy's perspective" on everything and the list goes on. But there is one thing that all friends should have in common. No matter what their purpose in your life, their job is to be there for you, to support you in the decisions you make and to stand by you, no matter what happens. However, some friends like to overstep their boundaries every once in a while. They think they know more than you about your own life and they feel they have all the answers when really, they don't know anything about anything and everything they say is really irrelevant. In the end, they end up looking like a huge douchemonkey for being an insufferable know it all and sticking their nose in your business where it definitely wasn't welcome and doesn't belong. Now, your nerves are irked, tempers are flaring and lives are ruined, all because this one asshole wanted to say something unnecessary or tell a secret that wasn't theirs to tell or just be an all around dickhead. So now, I'll say this to you dickheads out there: know your place, and for the love of all that's holy, STAY THERE!! Labels: babble and rant |
