I find that it’s always the most ignorant people who are the first to call others ignorant. They never want to hear an opinion that isn’t theirs and if ever you should get your opinion across, it will be wrong. Now, we all know that by definition, an opinion cannot be wrong but to ignorant people, your opinion is always wrong, especially when it doesn’t coincide with theirs. These are the kind of people that are incapable of having a normal conversation. They attack you and when you don’t see things their way, they call you ignorant. They have never heard of the phrase “agree to disagree” because in their opinion, the only thing everyone needs to agree on is the fact that they are right. I’m lucky enough to be related to people like this. People who think I shouldn’t have an opinion and “as a woman” I should take a seat in the corner, be seen and not heard and blah diddy blah blah blah. However, I refuse to be silenced. That whole women’s liberation thing didn’t go down just so that in this day and age, I wouldn’t be able to use my voice. So if you’re going to crucify me for standing up for what I believe is right, so be it. There’s a difference between stubbornness and ignorance and if you can’t differentiate the two, you’re the most ignorant one of all. Jesus was crucified for doing what he believed was right. I’m not the first and I’m sure I won’t be the last.Labels: babble and rant, personals |
