In life, there are some people who are with you for a season and some who are with you for a lifetime. I've been blessed with a kickass personality, affording me a nice balance of the two in my life. Even though some maybe there for only a season, they still have an impact on my life, even if it's in a small way. I believe that everyone comes into your life for a reason, no matter how long they end up being in your life in the long run. However, friendship is a blessing. If I offer you my friendship, I expect a certain amount of respect, just the same way I expect to give you a certain amount of respect. I'm someone who likes consistency in my friendships. If you're gonna start acting brand new, please leave me alone. It was hard enough getting to know you the first time. I have the attention span of a flea so I really have no interest in getting to know the new and "improved" you. Alternately, if we're supposed to be close friends, don't drop me every time a new friend comes along and then pick me back up when things don't work out. I'm a person, not your favorite childhood toy. If that's your idea of friendship, don't expect me to be here waiting when you're ready to pick me back up again. And you will regret this kickass personality walking out of your life. I'm just saying. Now that I've cleared that all up, back to you regularly scheduled programming :) Labels: babble and rant |
