Truth is, I'm not innocent. I'm just an abstinent fireplace that doesn't wanna feel the fire kindled between her legs anymore so don't mind the ashes. You know what's funny? People and their "new year, new me" bullshit. Freaking hilarious, I tell you. Especially when you know them and you just wanna say "bitch, please. Stop acting like you won't still be smutting yourself out to that dude who stay playing you" or "really? You bout to get this paper in 2013? Oh, you're a boss, huh? Boy, bye!" But that's just me, though.
I will never understand why people like fooling themselves into thinking that just because it's a new year, there's gonna be some big awesome change in their lives. Ain't shit new about the years but the numbers. If you want to see a change in your life, you have to make it happen and if you really want to see change, you shouldn't wait until a new year starts to make it happen. Live in the moment or whatever, because who knows if you'll even live to see a new year, you know? Life is short, or so I've been told. In my personal opinion, it's the longest shit I've ever experienced ever. Like, EVER. But I digress.
How about for this new year, instead of aspiring to be "new" (whatever that means), we all aspire to be better? The world would be a better place with less douchebaggery. I think Aristotle said that.
Anywhoo, I wish you all a happy and healthy new year, health, wealth, prosperity, all that good shit. But only because it's what society deems "normal." For me, it's just another Tuesday. Deux dwet.
